How to enter

There will be 20 categories awarded at the 2012 Legal Business Awards.

Details of the categories and criteria can be found on the accompanying pages as well as the names of previous winning and shortlisted firms and a description of why they were successful.

Legal Business Magazine covers many of the major deals and innovations in the legal sector, but to ensure we are judging our awards from the most comprehensive selection possible, please do not wait for us to approach you as we welcome and encourage law firms and chambers to send in nominations for any of the awards.

Please note that apart from our specific international award and prize for best US law firm, the Legal Business Awards celebrate the leading UK-based performers. Therefore we actively welcome and encourage submissions from any law firm or chambers for work handled in the UK, be they English, Scottish, French, American or otherwise. For each award firms are encouraged to submit client references to support their entry.

The deadline for submissions to be received by the judging panel is Monday 21 November 2011.

A large and hugely experienced editorial team handles the shortlisting process, headed up by editors Emma Sadowski and Mark McAteer, and editor-in-chief and chairman of Legal Business, John Pritchard.

Shortlisted firms will be personally notified mid-December. Please note the full shortlist will not be published anywhere before the event resulting in higher suspense and excitement on the night itself.
